Jimmy Liao now occupies one of the top spots in my favorite artists of all time. Discovered about his works through my good friend Christiane and been a fan ever since. More than the drawings, what I like most about him is the way he conveys emotions and stories in his artworks. If you've known me long or been following my works, you'd notice that my favorite subject to draw is that of couples in love. Jimmy Liao has a set of drawings with that theme and I absolutely adore them.
If you get the chance of seeing his books on stores, make sure to grab a copy of A Chance of Sunshine and Sound of Colors. I don't have my own copy yet, but I plan on going on a scavenger hunt when I visit China or Taiwan or HK maybe. I read that the English translations don't do justice so I want to get the Mandarin versions and though I suck at Mandarin, it will be my life goal to understand what's written on that book. Hehe.
Another thing that really inspired me about Jimmy Liao is this picture of a gallery he had at Hong Kong. I was so awed because the way the gallery was designed is just completely breathtaking. If someday I were to have my own gallery (as if...), I pray that it be as amazing as this one. I love the way it's shaped, how the artworks are placed, everything! I never felt so inspired to have my own gallery. But then again, Jimmy Liao is like an art god (in my world at least) and it's not surprising that he holds a gallery as impressive as this one.
Hello, world! Meet Cake Parade!
This is what you see first when you open Cake Parade
Drawings > General part. Heehee, just showing off my cute icons.
Pictures > Barkada Pics part. More of my lovely Loco Roco icons!
My personal favorite collection of the drawings I do. Just note how I name the files. Hehe. Makes me so happy to see them all nicely arranged like that!
It's been a LONG time since I last posted and that's cuz I've been busy with everything else, and not that it matters, no one cares about this blog anyway except for a few of my loyal fans HAHA just kidding. Anyway.

When I was out shopping with my other friends at SM Megamall, I decided to check out the kiddie watches section just in case they had other designs other than Ultraman. MUCH TO MY UTMOOOOST JOOOOOOY, they had a LOT but this LITTLE TWIN STARS ONE TAKES THE CAKE!!!
One of the best presents that I've ever received! Last May 24, my good friend Bens gave me (using his own words) the PERFECT bible for me (and so it was)! I love it very very much, to an extent I couldn't even put into words. Thank you super super, as I've been repeatedly telling you ever since. Haha.
I was introduced to this campaign by my good friends, Jed and Abs because they wear TWLOHA apparel and I got curious. What really caught my attention was their slogan "Love is the movement" and it got me into reading more about it.
I have completed another goal in my 70 Things to Do Before I Die list! #9: Build a sandcastle!
The Join Red campaign, I must say, is such a genius project in so many ways. It is a great marketing plan (a fact they self-proclaim) and at the same time they DO help. The manifesto says it all and bravo to them for making the manifesto honest and straight to the point.
Anyway, GAP is opening soon at the Shangri-La mall here in the Philippines and I sure hope they carry the RED apparel line (it would be pretty silly if they didn't). I want an INSPI(RED) tshirt... and that RED hoodie is just to die for.
My first encounter with Juliet Simms was from Remembering Sunday (a personal favorite of my friends and I), a song with All Time Low (I love this band). "The Answer" was the first song that I listened to and it remains to be one of my favorites from them. But the song that I really love the most is "Unhearted" because of the lyrics. It's not the best most poetic thing you've probably ever heard but it meant something to me personally :).
The first song I heard from this band was "Lions Roar" and it was through a REALLY AMAZING typography video that I found on You Tube. I fell for the lyrics and loved the sound, thank goodness this was the first song I heard (Come on, there were words like 'puppets' and 'elephants' and everyone knows how much I love the circus haha). I am proud to say that the Hush Sound was my own discovery (much like my ultimate favorite singer Rachael Yamagata). I was searching for new material when I came across the cover art of their album "Like Vines".
Listening to their sound in the middle of everything was one of the best things that's happened to me this week, and in perfect timing as well. Their sound makes you forget about the world for a bit and takes you to a place where time stands still and people sit and stare as the world flies by.
This blog is not a diary, so you may read all the entries in no particular order!
It will not contain entries about my daily life, my daily schedule, everyday events... you get the picture. Though, if I happen to do something very very interesting (such as a tea party), I shall post.
My HAPPY blog! It contains entries about me and all happy things related to me; childhood dreams, present day dreams, Disney musings, new found discoveries, favorite things, favorite places, favorite pictures, and all my other favorites plus my alter ego, my imaginary friends, my imaginary world and things as such.
If you're lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the monster under my bed... but I doubt it.
Did I mention Disney?

I enjoy doodling during a cool rainy day, staring outside airplane windows and belting out songs while drying my hair after a long shower. I have always had a passion for art, music and culture, which also goes to say that traveling is one of my greatest joys in life. I could go on and on, but I'd rather you read the rest of my entries, wherein I blab about the little things in life that make me happy.
